What we want from a guest post
Below are some general guidelines to follow to help get your post approved to appear on our blog. If, for any reason, your post isn’t approved, you will be notified via the email you provided.
- Must pertain to a relevant topic for our blog (web design/development, SEO, social networking, any type of web coding tutorials or information).
- It should be easy to read and follow.
- It should be a unique article, preferably about something that hasn’t already been covered on our blog. Unless you’re building on an already covered topic, offering more recent news, or covering a different way to handle a topic.
- The article shouldn’t appear on any other website or blog (this is mostly to help us avoid duplicate content penalties and possible copyright issues).
- The article should contain your own work and your own words, we will be checking.
What you get by guest posting with us
If your post is approved, you will receive the following benefits.
- Your post will appear on our blog, in the relevant categories, with relevant tags.
- Your post will be linked to in future blog posts that are related to it. Such as for extra reading on a topic.
- It will also appear in “Related Articles” lists of posts that share the same tags as your post.
- You will be able to include a short “about the author” description that will appear on all of your posts, along with a photo, and links to your website and twitter page.
- Once your article is live, it will be posted on our Facebook page and on our Twitter account.
How to submit your article
- Register for an account with our blog. The more information you fill out, the more benefit you will see from posting with us.
- Once your account is registered, you will need to visit the login page. Login using the information you just provided.
- On the left hand side of the WordPress admin panel, you will see a link under Posts to “Add New.” Click on that link to be brought to the new post page.
- First on this page, is the title of your post. It should be short, but give the reader a good idea of what your post is about
- Next on the page, is the body of your post. This can include HTML code and images. If you need raw code to be displayed in the post, wrap it in [ sourcecode ] your code here[ /sourcecode ] tags (no spaces in the tags).
- On the right-hand side of the page, you can select an appropriate category and rags for your post if you would like. Otherwise, we will select appropriate ones for you.
- Once everything is how you like it, click on the blue “Submit for Review” button. This will submit your post to us for review
- Should we decide to post your article, you will be notified by email
